The aim of this project is to recreate the change (hence this project called Metamorphosis) of a given story. My story was Niobe, a mother who turned into stone while weeping at the death of all her 14 children. The change of my story is when Niobe turns into stone crying at the lost of her children. To create the transformation of turning to into stone, I decided to have small rocks fall from above and bury the characters. The most challenging part of this project is to create all those scaled figures, but at the same time I became very familiar with creating them at the end of this project. Changes and turning points are a very important section of a theatrical show and I think this project helped me to realise this and how I can create change through set and costume.‍
